NiCim Chess Engine
https://github.com/yodatk/NiCimEngineEnjoy!!.............

IMPROVED 3rd version of Nissim engine: NiCim. Working with UCI protocol. Written in C++.
You can play against NiCim here: https://lichess.org/@/NissimEngine
Features:
Efficient Bitboards representation of Chess Board (https://www.chessprogramming.org/Bitboards)
Pre-Calculated Moves and Attacks, using MagicBitboards (https://www.chessprogramming.org/Magic_Bitboards)
Alpha Beta pruning based search, with:
Quiescence Search (https://www.chessprogramming.org/Quiescence_Search)
Principal Variation Search (https://www.chessprogramming.org/Principal_Variation_Search)
Move ordering by (https://www.chessprogramming.org/Move_Ordering):
Principal variation Node (https://www.chessprogramming.org/PV-Move)
Killer moves (https://www.chessprogramming.org/Killer_Heuristic)
History moves (https://www.chessprogramming.org/History_Heuristic)
Late Move Reduction (https://www.chessprogramming.org/Late_Move_Reductions)
Null Move Pruning (https://www.chessprogramming.org/Null_Move_Pruning)
Razoring (https://www.chessprogramming.org/Razoring)
NNUE Evaluation! (by https://github.com/dshawul/nnue-probe)
Transposition Table (https://www.chessprogramming.org/Transposition_Table)
Opening Book support with polyglot format. (as described in this toturial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HjZtevzCa5Y&list=PLZ1QII7yudbc-Ky058TEaOstZHVbT-2hg&index=88&ab_channel=BluefeverSoftware)
How to install and Use NiCim:
There are two ways to compile NiCim:
you can use Cmake with the provided CMakeLists.txt file. (really easy to do with CLion)
you can use the provided makefile. currently, the makefile supports only windows machines.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
NiCim executable must be next to the provided .nnue file, otherwise, it's evaluation won't work.
NiCim can support polyglot format opening books, and provided by one. if you wish to change the book you need to chage the default NAME_OF_BOOK in "PolyBook.h". If you with to turn off this option, you can through the uci protocol.
If you wish to use NiCim as a bot Player on lichess (using this awsome code by ShailChoksi : https://github.com/ShailChoksi/lichess-bot) it is very recommanded to change the delay time of NiCim so it won't accidently lose on time. to do that, simply add txt file named (EXACTLY) "ONLINE_TIME_CONFIG.txt" to the working directory\ same directory where NiCimEngine.exe file is in. you don't have to write any thing in it, NiCim will automatically change it's delay time accordingly

2020 World KO Engines Champs Rd 3 Draw...
Tourney update 9-28-20…As of today round #3 is around 70% complete….quite a few suprises in a Complex round #2…Strength and depth of search rule in rounds 2 and 3.. LCO’s “positional only approach vs tactics and depth of search approach favored by Stockfish and the other A-B search engines falls flat…at present most of the LC0 engines are OUT of the KO tourney…LC0 is becoming a important factor in the discussion (CPU) and is very much improved over last years versions….Human Engine continues to make big noise along with Paris Brain Learn CoreChess and the NN chess engines….S_Xpro NN is playing extremely strong Chess along with RaubFisch and Eman…Quite a few SF Dev engines are moving thru to Draw…Big Troubles for the Honey and Black Diamond and Bluefish engines..Komodo is doing Ok but is having difficulty defeating the Higher end SF versions or clones…Houdini seems incapable of defeating High Level Stockfish Engines or Clones also…Ethereal shows promise but is having some issues managing time controls..Andscacs has the depth but may not be aggressive enough to take advantage fully in these high end matches.. Fritz 17 is playing quite well and the Last Rybka in the tourney is Rybka Cluster 5…Heron Impossible had a nice run in the tourney along with a few of the Early Komodo Editions which I find pleasantly surprising…Komodo 4… Komodo 5 and Komodo 2 and Komodo 1.3b JA having impressive runs..Keyvan is a current sensation in the tourney…deep and strong…Sugar v1.6.1 and ICCF Pro are making serious noise at present .. ASMFish PedantFish and Mfish are causing troubles for many engines in the tourney…Thinkfishes (3 versions) are making serious noise currently in the tourney..Most McCain engines still holding strongly at present..Deep Synapse (2 versions) is Holding Strong at present…Brainfish still solid as usual…Brainlearn Is a Major Player...Everything is at stake and the eventual winner is not currently clear…Stay tuned…

2020 World KO Engines Champs Underway....
World Engines KO Champs 2020-2021 Round one is in the books...What a fascinating chess struggle it was....LC0 has become the interesting side note to the tourney with quite a few LC0....Leela engines making it thru to round 2 (10+ or so) Because of the engines positional only focus I did notice a huge number of draws with the LC0 (Leela) engines...the new models seem quite a bit deeper than the older ones with the older ones perhaps having more of the "pure" LC0 style.... Asymptote is making big noise in this tourney with 3 versions easily making it into the second round (Version 7.0 version 8.0 and version 0.6.2) Quite a few big upsets in the Round…King 350 upset Tretola... Asymptote 0.6.2 over Fruit Reloaded... Bobcat 7.6 over Amoeba 3.1..Deep Hiarcs Paderborn upset Naum 4 in a tough match..Firefly v2.7 over LC0 v0.25.1 git!.....Robbolito 0.85c2 over LC0 v0.25.1 in a very hard fought contest (OT)...Open Tal v1.1x32 easily over LC0 v0.21.0 rc-2 Rubichess v1.4 upset Rybka 3.0 Human x64 in a razors edge contest...Junior 7 Over Stockfish Easy play in a strange contest (time issues) Scorpio 2.7 JA almost upset Stockfish 120328M Cheese v2.0 upset Scorpio 2.79 (MCTS) ... Minko Chess 1.3 x64 upset Crafty 25.2 ....Most of the Stockfish engines move on....All The NN engines move to the 2nd round.....All The Sugar and Cfish and ASMfish engines move on to the 2nd round...No problems at all for Eman or the Raubfisch engines...SF Development engines all move thru....All the Mars Ivanhoe and Robbolito engines move on along with Electro and Ippolit...All The McBrain and McCain engines are Thru....No issues with Honey... Moonfish or Crystal Honey Or Bluefish....2 Human Engines move on to the next round with all the Matrix and Venom engines....Many Toga engines into the 2nd round including Toga II 4.0 and 4.01 ...Lazer 1.6 and 1.7 Move on....At least 2 Alfil engines Move on 15.8 and 15.07......2 Xiphos engines v0.6 & v0.5) looking strong and move on..All Brainfish.Don..Brainlearn...Shashchess and Matefinder engines thru....Rybka 4.1 Rybka 2.3.2a and Deep Rybka 4.1 thru..3 Rubichess Engines v1.4 v1.6.1 and v1.7.1..easily into round 2...3 Arasan Engines move on..2 Andscacs Engines move on...All Houdini engines move thru to the next round....All Houdidit engines thru...Almost all the Komodo engines move on...One Marvin engine v3.5 and one Vajolet2 2.8 thru..2 Pedone engines move on.....Gogobello 2.1 lost to Komodo 1.3b1x64 in a major upset..3 Arasan Engines Thru to Round 2..All the Peper engines thru... Deep Matrix 3000 and EngineX x64 move thru along with Tactico Olmos x64... 2-3 Wasp Engines thru.....Shredder 13 Deep Shredder 13 and Shredder 5 thru andlong with Many Fritz and quite a Few Junior and Deep Junior engines....A couple of Defense chess and Rofchade engines move on..Fat Fritz (w small net) no issues.played well.(12 LC0's and Leelas and 1 Fat Fritz still alive) .Round 2 Promises to be one incredible "Dogfight Indeed" Stay tuned...

2020 World Engines Swiss Championship Underway..
A quite Long and Involved set up Process with much complication due to the increased numbers of older and newer chess engines being released every day...Without a doubt the Strongest Chess Tourney In the History of Chess Testing...I expect that points will be quite difficult to come by after the initial round...Human Chess Engine is making big noise early... Crafty 26.5 looks good along with Franchesca... Honey Engines...Stockfish 11 and Corchess 5.1 and Brainfish along with SF Development will be factors..."Lets Just See What Happens..Shall We".....LC0 (CPU) is showing gradual progress also...."Expect The Unexpected"pgn games (Rd 1) http://s000.tinyupload.com/?file_id=72231138308519352868

WHY THIS COURSE WAS CREATED?
The attack is an art that every chess player should master. When we play a chess game it is very important to have the ability to start an attack in order to win the game. looking for two chess book pgn files (Nunn and Ault books)
BubblesTheFish wrote:Hi,
New user here, great website. I am a chess novice, always had an interest in the game and now trying to improve beyond the base level.
Anyway, I chose 2 books to start my study with (I already have PDF of both, at least one I found here!). I would like to have PGN file to accompany each book, which I feel would improve study quality. I did a google search to try to find each pgn myself, but I was unable to find a pgn for either of these books.
Book #1 I start with:
The Chess Tutor: Elements of Combinations by Leslie H. Ault. I would like to have PGN for it.
Book #2 is:
Understanding Chess Move by Move - by John Nunn
This book also seems excellent to start with, and PGN would be ideal for this book because he commentates every move from 1. to end. So I would just read his analysis and click thru the pgn move-by-move and "see" the move on the board.
Thanks in advance, appreciate your efforts to share chess info would everyone. Best regards.
BubblesTheFish
Here are both PGN's in a single file:
