In recent years there has been an enormous amount of development and it is far from being over. Anyone wishing to adopt the Italian in his or her repertoire – be it with White or with Black – can use this special Powerbook to get a good head start. It is based especially in those variations with the quiet setup of d3, c3 (Giuoco Pianissimo) on huge numbers of games, which make of the book a real treasure trove. Thus it is possible to study a move only rarely played by elite grandmasters, namely the early Bg5, on the basis of huge numbers of cases. Also the modern early ...a5, which Wesley So deals with at length on his DVD, can be found in the Powerbook in various variations with numbers running into four or even five figures.

The Italian Powerbook 2018 is a comprehensive special opening book that allows you to check your opening lines and search for promising additions to your repertoire. It's an opening book that you can use with your Fritz or ChessBase program. It does not come with a database - so there are no games included.
